The Droitwich Spa campaign group SOBBS (SAVE OUR BRINE BATHS) are pleased to announce that their first quiz night held on Friday 21st February at St. Andrews House Hotel has been hailed a great success.
Organisers have reported that a strong attendance of some 76 quizzers helped the group to raise more than £500 towards their cause.
William Moy, speaking on behalf of the group said, “I was absolutely delighted with the turn out on the evening and offer many thanks to committee members and local traders who so readily donated prizes for the event.”
SOBBS would also like to thank the owner of St. Andrews House Hotel, Aidan Stevens, for his kind hospitality.
On a more personal level Mr Moy went on to say, “Without dedicated committee members, this kind of fund raising event would not be possible and so, on behalf of SOBBS, I would like to give a special vote of thanks to Stephanie Vale and Sheila Jarrams who worked so hard to make the evening go so well.”
The SOBBS group have pledged that the campaign to re-open Droitwich Spa’s historic Brine Baths will continue until that goal has been achieved. Many more future fund raising events will be held and it is to be hoped that they will receive the much appreciated and continued support given by the people of this special town.
